Sterile water is used in microbiology, cell culture and physico-chemistry laboratories, particularly in the preparation of culture media.
Steriwater can produce 500 litres of sterile water per cycle and is good for 11 cycles. A normal sterilization of the Steriwater insert is required between each 500 litres cycle. (121 oC for 15 minutes).
Steriwater is delivered as a set of 2 Tygon tubing (50 cm) + 2 filters (0.2 µm) connected to 6.4 mm tubing.

The preparation of sterile water is a time-consuming step that requires anticipation. Unlike a sterilization cycle at 121°C for 15 minutes, Steriwater is an instant water sterilization solution.
How it works?
The water is sterilized using a 0.2 µm filter which removes biological contaminants, including bacteria, molds and yeasts.
The filter is connected to the tubing, the whole unit is sterile and is fitted to gravimetric dilutors and peristaltic pumps. The water flow is ensured by a mechanical action outside the tubing (without risk of cross-contamination) using a peristaltic block.
